What is a Chartered Engineer Certificate?

Possessing a Chartered Engineer Certificate from an independent inspection company is an essential requirement for exporting used or refurbished machinery to India. This is an important requirement of Indian customs.

The inspection company from which Chartered Engineer Certificate will be obtained must be authorized by the Indian Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).

Chartered Engineers who’ll be certifying the machinery should be registered with the official engineering body of the country they are working in. the Chartered Engineers in India must be registered with the Engineering Council of India to be called Chartered Engineers.
